Job Summary
The Transfer Credit Evaluator is a full-time professional staff member responsible for several areas such as transfer credit, student file audits, various student petitions, degree pathways, and reports. The successful candidate will evaluate transfer credit for students while considering degree applicability and equivalent coursework at CEI. The candidate will also be in charge of ensuring accuracy in student accounts as well as facilitating various petitions on behalf of students. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for working with other colleges and universities regarding the updating and/or creating of new pathways to their institutions.
This position also participates in efforts to help students achieve their educational goals by supporting Advising services with tools and resources that can help track student progress. The Transfer Credit Evaluator works closely with students, faculty, and departments within Student Affairs including, but not limited to: Admissions, Financial Aid, and Student Advisors, along with other programs to ensure high-quality delivery of services. This position is often one of the first points of contact for potential students, and therefore must demonstrate knowledgeability and care for each student’s needs.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
On-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.
Background Investigations:
Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position. Please refer to Policy 225: Background Checks.
