Summary of Position
The Materials Science & Engineering program at Youngtown State University is seeking qualified applicants for part-time teaching of core curriculum courses such as Mechanical Properties of Materials to doctoral students in the program.
Position Information
Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.
Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching.

Qualifications and Competencies
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering or related field. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Five years or more years of teaching experience at the university level; ability to demonstrate first-hand operation of analytical instrumentation often encountered in Materials research.
