Manager, Operations Strategy (12 Month Contract)

The exciting role of Manager, Operations Strategy (12 Month Contract) will actively contribute towards the delivery of the strategic plan of one of the world’s leading luxury hospitality companies. Working in the fast-paced, dynamic environment of Four Seasons global headquarters, the Manager will become a key contributor to the Global Operations function.

As a member of Four Seasons Planning & Integration team, the Manager will input into key strategic company priorities that impact global hotel operations, engaging with both corporate and property teams, developing ideas, analyzing data, creating action plans, managing deliverables, supporting implementation, and reporting on performance.

The primary focus will be on the implementation and adoption of a new revenue management platform to enhance forecasting and budgeting across the company’s global portfolio of hotels and resorts. This platform will be used to manage hotel operations as well ancillary operations, including spa and food and beverage.

In addition to supporting the Senior Director, Operations Strategy and the Senior Vice President, Planning & Integration, the Manager collaborates closely with the Senior Vice President, Food & Beverage, the Food & Beverage team, the Commercial team, and the Finance team.

The ideal candidate will be smart and a highly strategic thinker, possessing strong analytical and change management skills and displaying exceptional judgment. They will be positive, flexible, and a self-starter, always open to new challenges, as well as a strong team player. A keen eye for detail, the ability to work under tight deadlines, superb professionalism and strong project management skills are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Strategic Planning

• Provide ideas and insights into strategic plan initiatives that require full cooperation and engagement from hotels and resorts. The primary focus will be on the implementation and adoption of a new revenue management platform within the Food & Beverage division.
• Collect, understand, and analyze business and technical requirements to inform strategies and plan tactical roadmap.
• Gain understanding of the rationale and benefits of new initiatives to be able to clearly articulate them across all stakeholder groups.
• Collaborate with other functions and external vendors to develop roadmap and implementation plan.
• Create implementation plan for pipeline hotels.

Change Management

• Gain deep understanding of company culture and learnings from past change management initiatives.
• Gather learnings from pilot properties and make recommendations on global rollout.
• Engage with individual stakeholders to understand their perspective, challenges, and opportunities and be able to thoughtfully respond.
• Gain alignment across the organization on the implementation plan and timing.
• Work with the Operations Leadership, Finance, and People & Culture teams to develop playbooks, training, best practices, and communications.

Analysis & Reporting

• With relevant Operations Leadership, drive accountability and measure success of implementation of strategic initiatives.
• Provide data led insights to influence strategic recommendations to enhance planning in a way that advances business goals.
• Conduct ongoing analysis to identify need areas of opportunity.
• Create regular updates for Steering Committees or Executive Leadership Team on initiative implementation.

Project Management

• Develop project plans and critical paths to guide the planning and execution of key strategic initiatives.
• Organize cross-functional meetings; regularly engage with all stakeholders to ensure milestones are delivered on time.
• Capture minutes, set agendas, and manage follow-up to meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Qualified candidates will have 10 years of experience working in a fast-paced comparable position, supporting delivery of major strategic projects. Hospitality and/or revenue management experience a plus.
• Outstanding ability to analyze business problems and requirements and then develop and communicate meaningful and effective solutions and strategies in a clear, well-organized manner.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization with a fast paced and time sensitive environment.
• Exceptional technical skills, including superior Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive skills.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills a must
• Ability to communicate across geographies, using clear and inclusive language.

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
