Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, informatics, public health, computer science,
information systems or information technology and two to four years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for
required education.
Special Conditions:
The department is especially interested in candidates that
have:
Graduate Degree in business, informatics, public health, computer science, information systems or information technology or
equivalent experience.
Experience in dealing with public health or health related data and generating interactive visualizations using
custom programming or other available dashboard tools.
This is a grant-funded position contingent upon funding
availability.
First consideration to be given to current University of Memphis employees.
Hiring
Range: $65,000 – $70,000 per year
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Familiarity with coding
languages such as Java, C, Python and SQL.
Skilled in database design, data structure, modeling, and development of
database management systems.
Fluent in a variety of applicable programming languages, software, and
systems.
Familiar with processes such as data cleansing, business process analysis, and technical leadership
practices.
Demonstrated attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving
capabilities.
Fluency in statistics and record coding.
Skilled in project management and
organization and have the ability to juggle multiple projects; must have enough knowledge to assure that all object metadata is meaningful,
standardized, complete, accurate, and up to date.
