Department welcomes applications for the position of Head Coach for Women’s Soccer
Salary Range
$57,000.00

Essential Functions
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Athletics, this is an
exciting opportunity to join the Athletic Department at The University of Texas Permian Basin, a part of the prestigious 14 institution
University of Texas System. The Head Women’s Soccer Coach provides leadership and oversight and is responsible for all aspects of a highly
competitive NCAA Division II program. Guide and ensure the program complies with the overall objectives of the institution and Athletic
Department. Ensure the program adheres to all applicable NCAA, Lone Star Conference and institutional rules and regulations.
1.
Responsible for all strategic aspects, planning and administering of a successful athletic program.
2. Instruct, teach and coach
student-athletes during practice and competition.
3. Conduct video analysis and instruction as a teaching and preparation tool. Plans
practice and/or game-day strategy.
4. Monitoring of student-athletes academic and athletic development.
5. Recruit student-athletes
in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations through scouting, attending competitions, and visits.
6. Represents the athletics program
to various institutional entities and externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, students, parents, and the general public.
7. Manages all daily operations and coordinates all administration facets of the soccer program.
8. Oversees all aspects of the
financial operation of the specific sports program to include engaging in fund-raising activities for the program in conjunction with
athletic advancement.
9. Adhere to all NCAA, Lone Star Conference and Institution policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Collegiate coaching experience
3.
Possess a valid unencumbered driver’s license and the ability to travel both locally and nationally.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master’s degree
2. D2 soccer coaching experience
3. Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills and the
ability to work effectively with student athletes, department and university staff
4. Ability to work well in a highly fast-paced
environment and be a team player with the athletic department and the University.

4. Employees must be able and willing to travel and perform duties away
from campus as necessary and must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a
valid state driver’s license. Must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record.

Schedule
Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through
Thursday, 7:30 – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available
early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some
departments.
Standard Working Conditions
1. Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional
basis.
2. Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
3. Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
4. Able to
remain standing up to 15% of the time.
5. Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work,
operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
