Job Description
THE JOB AT A GLANCE:
To repair and maintain plant and machinery in order that optimal production can be realized.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
To ensure that machinery used in the mill and packaging is correctly maintained, and is safe to operate
To reduce breakdowns and increase machine availability
Provide technical support and training to machine operators
Conduct routine maintenance inspections
Follow the Preventative maintenance program
Compilation and updating of equipment registers (safety gear)
Maintain critical spares list
Maximise performance on all equipment
Complete job cards; log books and inspection reports
Compile electrical drawings/schedules for plant
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified, trade tested electrician
At least 2 years’ electrical experience in manufacturing environment
Maintenance experience of milling and packaging machinery will be an advantage
Computer literacy, including exposure to computerised maintenance management systems
