Summary
The Course Scheduling Specialist II position is responsible for supporting the work of the Course Scheduling
department. This position assists in creating course sections in Datatel for campuses and online, running reports and assisting with
administrative office duties as well as all other duties as assigned by the Registrar’s office.
Minimum
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree, OR a minimum of three years of work experience at an institute of Higher
Education
2. Work experience in providing technical assistance to others, and communicating technical/complex
information both verbally and in writing
3. Ability to learn the necessary software required by the Course Scheduling
Department in order to maintain appropriate systems and troubleshoot issues
4. Proficient skill in Excel and database
management
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with Microsoft software, including ACCESS
2.
Knowledge of TROY’s Online Intent to Graduate Form/Process
3. General Knowledge of TROY Catalogs
4. Knowledge of and ability to remain
in compliance with all TROY policies and procedures related to student academic records and FERPA laws
5. Knowledge in the use of Datatel
for the purpose of maintaining academic student records
6. Work experience in providing technical assistance to others, and communicating
technical/complex information both verbally and in writing
