Montgomery invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice to teach in the Legal
Studies Program. This position, which is a nine-month appointment, is on-site and requires face-to-face instruction. Duties for this
appointment include teaching core undergraduate courses (a 4/4 course load), a productive community-involvement agenda, advising students,
and adding to the service mission of the campus. The department offers a Criminal Justice major with an optional Legal Studies
Concentration, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Science in Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and minors in
Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. Our Legal Studies Program is ABA-approved.
Minimum
requirements:
Candidates must show evidence of potential for excellence in teaching as well as a commitment to community and
professional service. Candidates are expected to teach a wide range of legal specialty courses as defined by the ABA, participate in program
evaluation, compile documentation, and complete reports required by the ABA.
The successful applicant must be committed
to educational equity in a multicultural setting and to promote and foster a learning environment that supports individuals from diverse
backgrounds and perspectives.

curriculum vitae, 3) a statement of teaching philosophy, 4) evidence of teaching effectiveness, 5) transcripts (official transcripts will be
required at time of hire), and 6) contact information for at least three professional references (will be contacted for final candidates
only).
Screening of applications will begin as received, with priority given to applications received by January 6,
2024. While the position will remain open until filled, AUM reserves the right to stop accepting applications once interviewing has
begun.
