Auburn University at
Montgomery invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice to teach in the Legal
Studies Program. This position, which is a nine-month appointment, is on-site and requires face-to-face instruction. Duties for this
appointment include teaching core undergraduate courses (a 4/4 course load), a productive community-involvement agenda, advising students,
and adding to the service mission of the campus. The department offers a Criminal Justice major with an optional Legal Studies
Concentration, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, a Master of Science in Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and minors in
Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. Our Legal Studies Program is ABA-approved.

Minimum
requirements:

• Earned an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.)
  degree from an ABA-accredited law school and knowledge of the paralegal profession.
• Teaching experience at a college or university
  level.
• Licensed to practice law in the United States and a member in good standing with a state bar association, preferably the
  Alabama State Bar.
• If not a current member of the Alabama State Bar, eligible for membership in the Alabama State
  Bar.
• Experience practicing law in the United States.
• Experience working with paralegals (please explain in cover
  letter).

Candidates must show evidence of potential for excellence in teaching as well as a commitment to community and
professional service. Candidates are expected to teach a wide range of legal specialty courses as defined by the ABA, participate in program
evaluation, compile documentation, and complete reports required by the ABA.
