Job Summary:
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) Director of Information Technology is responsible for providing overall leadership, vision, strategic management, and accountability for college-wide information technology services. The Director will work closely with the Associate Dean for Innovation and Strategy to advise, formulate and implement policies related to the management of the college’s information technology needs and supporting the college’s 15 departments and 6 centers. The IT Director provides general oversight and management of the CALS divisional IT team which currently consists of 15 employees in various job titles. In carrying out these responsibilities, the Director must ensure that the infrastructure and applications provide an environment that is cost-effective and responsive to student, staff, and faculty needs and addresses the unique research, teaching, and extension/outreach missions of our college.

Responsibilities:
Develops and directs the implementation of strategic plans for the division’s information technology (IT) function to ensure that resources are utilized to provide effective information technology services. Typically manages IT services through subordinate managers.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
* A combined minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience managing the delivery of information technology services. Examples of experience may include Client Services (Help Desk, Endpoint Management); Infrastructure (Networking, Server and System Administration); Software Development; Cloud Services; other relevant experience
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cultivate relationships with others such as: IT leaders across an organization, business or academic leaders, faculty and/or staff colleagues, work teams, and customers
* Minimum of 3 years of formal supervisory experience. Please include your experience with growing, coaching, and mentoring work teams
* Demonstrated ability to serve in a leadership capacity specifically relating to evaluating, planning, implementing, and managing organizational changes to achieve desired goals and outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Administrative leadership within a higher education institution
* Providing oversight and direction for organizational-wide deployment of IT tools or services

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Minimum $134,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

The minimum salary for this position is $134,000 annually. However, final salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
