Description

The Assistant Registrar role involves managing processes to ensure academic standards, coordinating the course schedule offerings, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in the college catalog. This includes collaborating with faculty, staff and administration to support student success and enhance academic operations. Qualifications

• Associate Degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
• 2 -5 years experience in Higher Education
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interact with students, faculty, and staff.
• Exceptional customer service skills and positive attitude towards working with students.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Strong data-entry, keyboarding, Microsoft Office and other computer skills.
• Strong detail-oriented, organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to quickly learn new software or processes and adapt to changes in policies or regulations.
• Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with FERPA and institutional policies.
• Assist with all duties that fall under the purview of the Registration Office.

Major Responsibilities/Duties

• Oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of the academic course schedule each semester.
• Collaborate with academic departments to address scheduling conflicts and meet the needs of students and faculty.
• Create and update new or renewed course syllabi in Banner.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of the official college catalogue each academic year.
• Provide training and support to faculty and staff on course scheduling and catalog change processes.
• Maintain accurate student records and ensure data integrity within the student information system.
• Generate and analyze reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Manage the registration process, including the setup of registration periods, troubleshooting issues, and providing support to students and staff.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline registration and improve the student experience.
• Serve as a liaison between the Registrar’s Office, academic departments, faculty, and administration to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of academic policies and procedures.
