JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State York is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as the Part-Time Head Golf Coach. This role involves leading the men’s and women’s golf program, fostering athletic excellence, personal development, and academic success among student-athletes.

Job Duties

• Develop and implement practice plans, training programs, and strategies to enhance individual and team performance.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain student-athletes, ensuring compliance with PSUAC and USCAA
• Foster an environment emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
• Serve as a positive representative of Penn State York at all competitions and events.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous coaching or competitive playing experience in golf.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to recruit and develop student-athletes.
• Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the program.

• Employment with the University for this job will require successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check.

• Employment with the University for this opening will require the operation of a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

• Requires the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
