Job Description
San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC) is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as Head Football Coach and full-time, tenure-track faculty member. This multifaceted position demands a leader who can excel both on the field and in the classroom, shaping the future of student-athletes and contributing to the academic community.
Position Summary:
The Head Football Coach at SBVC will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a competitive football program while also serving as a dedicated educator. This position combines teaching responsibilities with the comprehensive management and leadership of the SBVC Football Program.

Education:
Master’s in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical education
OR
Bachelor’s in any of the above
AND
Master’s in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office and outside setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 50 pounds; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
This position requires a flexible 40-hour work week, including evenings, weekends, and summer work as necessitated, recruiting activities, and competition schedules. The successful candidate must be prepared for the demanding nature of leading a collegiate football program while maintaining teaching excellence.

5. Unofficial transcripts that show you meet the minimum educational requirement(s) for the position. Only transcripts showing the awarded minimum required degree or higher degree will be accepted. Transcripts must be legible. Transcripts must be from a US accredited institution. Transcripts from outside the US must include an official evaluation for equivalency. Copies of diplomas will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts if the position requires a degree. Official Transcripts will be required upon hire.
