Description
The Department of Industrial Engineering at Clemson University invites applications for a full-time postdoctoral fellow position in the areas of biomechanics, ergonomics, and human factors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in collaborative, funded research projects focused on human performance assessment, the design and evaluation of assistive technologies for occupational and rehabilitation applications and exploring aging-related changes in neuromuscular mechanisms of human movement.
The fellow will work under the mentorship of Dr. Divya Srinivasan (https://www.clemson.edu/cecas/departments/ie/people/faculty/srinivasan.html), coordinator of the BEST Lab (https://cecas.clemson.edu/ergo/), and will have the opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team at Clemson University, including Dr. Jackie Cha, Dr. Jessica Aviles, Dr. Dechristian Barbieri, and experts from Prisma Health.
This full-time postdoctoral fellowship will last 1-2 years, depending on the start date and the fellow’s performance. The fellow will work with the research team to achieve project goals and develop an independent research project. Fellows are required to participate in the dissemination of research findings and will receive support for attending national research conferences to present their results. Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following criteria: a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering); strong oral and written communication skills; a preferred record of research accomplishments and publications in top academic journals; and experience in human performance assessment and in evaluating assistive technologies for occupational and rehabilitation applications, which will be considered an advantage.
