Position Highlights
The Freedom Center is in search of a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The position will begin September 2025 for a full time, 1 year (potentially renewable) appointment. This position will pursue research activities as related to their expertise of study with special interest in applicants who pursue research related to markets and democracy. This position will work closely with the Master of Legal Studies program that is joint with the James E. Rogers College of Law, having the opportunity to facilitate courses in the Law and Economics concentration and assist with other Freedom Center activities such
as organizing the Freedom Center talk series and helping with the Visiting Fellows
program.
Postdoc Appointment Term: 2025-2026, with potential to renew.
The Freedom Center was founded in 2008 and is a University Center in the Office for Research, Innovation & Impact. It provides research, teaching, and programming that is grounded in individual freedom and honors people’s right to constructively disagree. Our faculty draw from philosophy, politics, economics, law, and ethics to enhance our understanding of the elements that shape individual and societal prosperity. Center scholars also include post-doctoral fellows, Ph.D. students in philosophy, and Visiting and Research Fellows we host from universities worldwide.
The ideal candidate will pursue self-directed research. We are looking for a recent Ph.D. in Philosophy, Economics or Law that will fit in with the research of the Freedom Center.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
