Helps our guests and TSV coworkers feel comfortable and glad they are here by making sure the base areas (main and back-side) are clean, safe, and attractive. This position is responsible for landscape maintenance; snow removal; handling of trash and recyclable waste streams; cleaning of restrooms, lobbies, hallways, and staircases; minor repair and maintenance of base area facilities; and other duties as assigned. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required. Prompt and reliable attendance is expected on all scheduled work days.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Operate company vehicles and equipment including 4WD trucks, snow blowers, and heavy equipment (training provided).
- Maintained trash and recycling receptacles, haul waste streams, and processed recyclable items.
- Clean and maintain restrooms in base areas daily.
- Conduct general cleaning and maintenance of buildings daily including but not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, shampooing carpets, and washing windows and doors.
- Remove snow and maintain walkways using shovels, snow blowers, de-icing agents, sand, and gravel (during winter months). May be expected to operate heavy equipment with proper training.
- Establish and maintain landscaping in base area public spaces during spring and summer.

Qualifications/Knowledge
- Possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and successful pass of MVR check
- Must be 21 years of age or older per insurance requirements, if driving/operating heavy equipment including 4WD trucks
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Knowledge of methods and techniques for cleaning and sanitation of public restrooms and other facilities
- Basic knowledge of repair and maintenance skills and/or ability to learn quickly
- Basic ability to ski or snowboard, preferred.
- Educational requirements include: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Fluent English skills
- Strong customer service skill set
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.
Work Environment:
Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.
Physical Demands of Position Include:
Standing & walking 80-90% of the time. Bending, reaching, sitting, climbing 20-30% of the time. May require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently. Frequent physically arduous work such as shoveling snow. Requires talking and hearing 100% of the time, tasting & smelling 10% of the time. This position will be outdoors and on snow in cold winter conditions, requiring travel on uneven, snow packed or icy terrain.
